Best Way to Get Smarter Part 2

In my other post, I've shared about the best way to get smarter (check it out). But I wanted to create "Best Way to Get Smart Part 2" to further discuss some of the best ways to get smarter. Though there are various ways and methods to define your level of intelligence, how I would loosely define intelligence is by your ability to quickly reason, brainstorm ideas and problem solve.

One of the best ways to get smarter is through social interactions. By engaging in conversations with lots of different people and various ways they communicate, you will pick up on the general patterns of how they ask, respond, and reason, which can help enhance your ability to resolve conflicts and problem solve. Also, part of the interaction may require you to be witty and humorous, and to exchange jokes with one another, all of which also help you think on your feet and and be a quick thinker.

Now, good rest comes in handy when you need your brain to perform effectively and absorb everything that happens throughout the day. This is where prayer and meditation may find its use, as it allows your brain to relax and temporarily put away all the unnecessary thoughts in your head. It may not be as effective as good sleep in terms of relaxing your brain as it is our ultimate healing technique, but it is still worth having them as part of your routine to help recuperate and reenergize your brain. I personally try to pray 10 minutes to start off my day and I find that it puts me in a calmer mood as it relieves me of certain unnecessary thoughts.

To end off, my advice to you all striving for success is to expose yourself to lots of social situations and also to set aside your allotted time to pray or meditate or do both. Moreover, we may all have different levels of intelligence, but it is still important to put in time and effort in maintaining and improving our cognitive ability throughout our lifetime. Doing so will not only help us accomplish what we aspire in our lives, but it will also help us live a quality life as we retire and enter into old age.
