Why Biology Points to God

Why Biology Points to God

First off, I could've never imagined I would be studying Cell Biology & Physiology (1st year university course) again after graduating from dental school. I thought I was completely passed all these courses, but I guess God did not intend it to be that way because I met my current student of mine in September of 2023 who was in dire need of a tutor/mentor that would help her get through her first year in the Health Science program.

I was more than happy to teach her everything I knew about Biology but it also meant that I had to brush up on these concepts again to teach her well. It was during my own prep sessions where I had come to affirm my faith in God as I saw that everything was meticulously designed by God as the very textbook, lectures, and notes point towards the non-accidental & intentionally designed mechanisms of pretty much all cell processes that are miraculously occurring each second to sustain our lives.

Cell complexity was marvellous to a point that I've come to repent for saying things like, "God, show me miracles so that my faith can be strengthened," because miracles are literally happening at the cellular level every second of our lives which I would have never appreciated if God hadn't sent me this student who essentially got me to study the whole of Biology again. It was as if God was saying to me, "I am making you study Biology again because this time I want you find me through relearning these concepts and I want you to realize that all of your studying wasn't a waste. I also want you to realize I designed everything with a purpose and intent and nothing is by accident."

This is why I don't understand why some scientists say, "Science disproves God." How could you possibly come up with that conclusion when you are left to marvel at its complexity and sophistication? I would say it only proves the existence of God more than anything. Science is only ways by which we uncover and comprehend the creations and works of God. I feel as though us humans have grown too prideful for what little we know about the world and universe. Science isn't truth, God is truth and God created science.

Below are a few examples of what I had come across in my prep sessions (these are Cell Physiology notes from Queen's University). Pay attention to how many times the text says, "Not random" from cellular concepts we all may have come across at least once. These cell processes are happening PROPERLY in every one of our ~37 trillion cells. I don't know what a miracle is if that isn't a miracle.
