Why the Bible is So Powerful

If you haven't read the greatest book in all of history, I'd recommend you do so because you are indeed missing out - arguably the most important thing in life.

As part of my journey towards God, I am trying to find out whether the Word in the Bible truly applies in my life. And so far it seems to be the case. Every word and phrase in the Bible speak to me personally as if it it's alive, and now I understand a little bit why people proclaim that it is a LIVING word of God.

I've been struggling the past couple years with anxiety, worries, and uncertainties. I endlessly ask myself, "What if this happens, and what if that happens?" Sometimes, I even conjure up the worst-case scenario where I feel my blood vessels constrict and bronchi squeeze themselves, leaving my body cold and empty. That's when I learned to turn to the Bible because I found that the only thing that brings me peace and confidence is the Word of God, nothing else. Then I came to realize that our very God is ominpotent indeed because he brings hope where there is no hope. Logically, we can't bring any given thing when there is nothing of it, but God obviously transcends the logical. God also brings hope when there is none. God brings peace when there is none in my heart and God brings certainty in the absolute uncertainty of this world. The certainty that He will be with us eternally when we put our faith in Him.

If you need a reliable guidance in life, I urge you to give Bible a try with an open mind. If you have resentment towards an infinite being, set it aside for a second and let the Word speak to you. I can profess to you that the Word gave me peace that none others could. And it's lifted me up when I was completely destroyed by the world and its people. So when Jesus says that His peace is like none others, it really is true because I experienced this very peace even when all hell was breaking loose.
